Chief of Child Protection, UNICEF, INDIA
Soledad is the Chief of Child Protection, UNICEF, in India. She has worked for UNICEF and other UN Agencies for the last fifteen years, holding different positions in Latin America, Africa, Headquarters (NY), and now India. During her career, she has worked on a wide range of issues including legal reforms, juvenile justice, alternative care, gender-based violence, online protection, trafficking, and children affected by armed conflict, among others. In the areas of emergencies and management, she has coordinated several humanitarian crisis responses in Colombia, Sudan, East Africa and Great Lakes.
Soledad holds an LLM in Human Rights from University of London, a Master on International Public Policy from the Johns Hopkins University, and a Juris Doctorate and a Business Administration from ICADE (Spain).
